The Rev. Curtis Clarke began serving the Yale United Methodist Church in May of 2025. He is also currently serving the Marysville United Methodist Church, where he's been since July of 2019. Before transferring to Marysville, he served both the Armada and West Berlin United Methodist Churches. Pastor Curtis was licensed as a local pastor in November of 2011. Since that time, he has completed the requirements set by the United Methodist Church for the Course of Study for Licensed Local Pastors at the Course of Study School of Ohio, graduating in October of 2017.
Pastor Curtis is passionate about connecting the church and community to fully serve Christ and all of God’s people. He is currently serving as Vice Chair of the East Winds District Committee on Ministry, The Michigan Conference New Start Team, and is the chairperson of the Blue Water Ministry Center & Free Store, Governance Board.
Prior to being called into ministry, Pastor Curtis was a member, youth leader and Lay Leader at St. Matthews UMC in Livonia, MI. He previously spent 25 years working in a variety of managerial and leadership positions in the food service industry. Pastor Curtis is a classically trained Chef.
Pastor Curtis, his wife Rita, and their three children, Wyatt, Emmett and Nora live in Marysville. In his free time Pastor Curtis enjoys spending time with his family, cooking and baking, being outside, photography, travel, and a good cup of coffee or local craft beer.
